Tomato Casserole

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 T. butter
  • 4 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 c. shredded sharp cheese
  • 1 c. fine soft bread crumbs
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 t. salt

Preparation:

Cook onion in butter until tender. Place half of tomatoes in a 10"x6" baking dish. Top with half of the onions, cheese and crumbs. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over top. Cover and bake at 305° for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 more minutes. Makes 6 servings.
