Saucy Hot Dogs

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. chopped green peppers
    Sauce:
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 lb. hotdogs
  • slices of lemon, optional

Preparation:

In a skillet saute peppers and onions in butter. Mix the sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Set the skillet on the side of your grill where it will remain very hot. Roast the hot dogs on the grill until done, then drop them in the sauce. Add lemon slices, if desired. Keep hot until ready to serve.
