Mexican Pizza

  • Crust:
  • 1 Tbsp. yeast
  • 1/3 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
    Toppings:
  • 1 lb. hamburger, browned
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 3 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation:

Mix the dough as you would for pizza dough. Put in a 13"x17" cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Spread sour cream over crust. Next, spread hamburger mixed with water, beans, and taco seasoning. It spreads better. Add a layer of shredded cheese and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Have shredded lettuce, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, hot pepper slices, and salsa for toppings. Serves 10 people.
