Ingredients

1 Cup Butter or Margarine

1 Cup Water

2 Cups Flour

2 Cups Sugar

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Baking Powder

¼ tsp Baking Soda

2 Eggs, beaten

½ Cup Sour Cream
-
1 tsp Almond Extract
-
½ Cup Butter or Margarine
-
¼ Cup Milk
-
4 ½ Cups Powdered Sugar

½ tsp Almond Extract
Frosting
Directions
In a saucepan bring butter and water to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder & baking soda.
Stir hot mixture into dry ingredients.
Add eggs, sour cream and almond extract and stir until smooth.
Pour into a greased 10x 15 jelly roll pan.
Bake at 375 degrees for 22-24 minutes or until done.
Cool for 20 minutes.
Frosting
Meanwhile for frosting, combine butter and milk in saucepan; bring to a boil.
Remove from heat; add powdered sugar, almond extract and mix well.
Frost cake!
Recipe Note
Sometimes I cut the frosting ingredients in half. This cuts back a little on the calories but it still has the delicious taste!
This cake can be mixed with a wire whisk and there is no need for an electric mixer.
