Peanut Butter Chocolate Pudding Cake

  • 1 ( 9 oz.) chocolate devil's food cake mix or 1 2/3 cup from a regular size pkg.
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 3 pkg. peanut butter cups (king size)

Preparation:

Brush bottom and sides of 2-quart casserole with oil. Combine cake mix, water and egg; mix well. Add peanut butter, mix and pour batter into casserole. In a small bowl combine brown sugar, cocoa and boiling water; stir until blended. Carefully pour over batter. Bake at 200° for 70 minutes. Meanwhile chop peanut butter cups into small squares. Remove casserole from oven to cooling rack. Sprinkle peanut butter cups on top of cake. Let set 10 minutes before serving.
