Autumn Apple Salad

  • 1-20 oz. can crushed pineapples
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1-3 oz. box lemon Jell-O
  • 1-8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 c. diced, unpeeled red apples
  • 1/2-1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. cut-up celery
  • 1 c. whipped topping
  • lettuce leaves

Preparation:

In a saucepan combine pineapples with juice and sugar. Add cream cheese and Jell-O and stir with wire whisk until mixture is thoroughly combined. Cool. Fold in apples, nuts, celery and whipped topping. Pour in 9" square pan. Chill until firm and cut into squares and serve on lettuce leaves. Serves 6 people.
