Frosty Strawberry Squares

  • Crumbs:
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
    Filling:
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. fresh sliced strawberries
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip

Preparation:

Crumbs: Mix crumbs and spread on a cookie sheet; bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes; cool. Filling: In a bowl beat egg whites and sugar until thick, approximately 10 minutes. Fold in strawberries and Cool Whip. Place 2/3 crumbs in a 9"x13 pan. Spoon filling over crumbs. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs and freeze. Remove from freezer 10-15 minutes before serving.
