Camper's Breakfast Mess

  • 1 pkg. frozen hash browns or 8 c. shredded potatoes
  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 lb. Li'l Smokies (mini hot dogs)
  • 1/2 c. cut up peppers
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 doz. eggs, scrambled
  • salt
  • pepper
  • shredded cheddar cheese or Velveeta

Preparation:

Fry bacon in pan over campfire, then fry hash browns until tender. Add onions and peppers, then add eggs. Fry until set. Season with salt and pepper and top with cheese. Serve with campfire toast and jelly. Yield: about 8 servings.
